It seems I am presently the only one here who remember these propaganda specimens in action. Some of these were still on display when I was a boy, in the sixties, and I do remember them. That is why I still cannot look at them without a certain emotions being elicited in me. I would call these emotions a mixture of dense boredom and the feeling of absurdity

I am a bit younger than you, it seems. I don`t remember any of these.

We are carrying crops for our motherland.

The communists were good at propaganda posters. I always see a comparisson with Nazi propaganda:

Both were fully totalitarian systems after all, hence the similarity. When Nazi Foreign Minister Ribentropp visited Moscow in 1939 to work out the Ribbentropp- Molotov Pact (the one about partitioning Poland), we said he felt like at home.

Quite interesting. A poster in Russian, designed to attract slave workers from the Soviet Union.
