Yes, I heard about it. The matter became known a few years ago when a crazy primary school teacher ordered her lower grade pupils repeat after her: Christopher Columbus was a Pole!! Christopher Columbus was a Pole!! and someone recorded it and made public.
It caused a big scandal then but now I see she had a prophetic vision. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
PS. Tufta, can we move it to History section?

Tufta, can we move it to History section? Whatever you decide, cicerone. Didn't hear the crazy teacher story. Though I found out something interesting. Almost everyone  in Europe has a theory of Columbus being 'their' guy. Only two theories assume nationality other than author's. Namely Catalan and Polish. So we can from now on forever accept that these are his origins ;D |
