I was told that Poland was hit by very bad storms last week and it did much damage. I can't find anything on it. Did it happen? And how bad was it, and where? I was told some village were entirely done away with.

Going north on the day after, we saw the result of the storm. Thank God we hadn`t decided to go earlier.... Seeing those bare trees, I imagine that their branches were raining cats and dogs all around and fought cat and dog with everything on their way.... We wouldn`t stand a dog`s chance, having no room to swing a cat in the eye of the storm.
