To all, Most of you who live in that great place, Poland, are there no new and big, and great things going on now, or soon. Please fill us in. Mike
OK, Mike, I will fill you in (or up) with photos from Vintage Cars Picnic which took place in Krakow. Such picnics are organized all over Poland and owners of antique cars attend them dutifully.
I am sure you will like them. Them means cars. And ladies. Have you ever thought of getting a vintage car? Ladies would be impressed, like those in the photographs. You can even get a big American car, it also makes some impression......
Lots of great cars! I was amazed to see so many people touching them, though (at least the ones that were not roped off). We have a lot of classic car shows here, but you never, ever touch the cars.
Yes, I was a bit surprised that cars could be approached and touched freely (without getting inside). You don`t need to have a maniac who hates cars to do some damage, you may just scratch a car by pure accident. It was organised in this full-contact way because Krakow is a magical place and owners believed nothing would happen to their cars.
Which one was your favorite?
I don`t remember now. But after I post all 250 photos, I will tell you my preferences. OK??
Dearest to my heart was Fiat 127, the model which was my first own car at uni times
and Opel Kapitan, which is a human-like character in one of my favourite childhood books - Great, Greater, the Greatest - about two children who experience extraordinary adventures with the help of the car.
