Warsaw to host world’s first Pokemon Go tournament 27.07.2016 18:05 The world’s first Pokemon Go championship is to be held in the Polish capital at the end of July.
The tournament is mainly targeted at high school graduates as the winner will be awarded free admission to Warsaw-based Vistula University, the private academic institution organizing the event.
Two runners-up will be offered reduced tuition for one semester of studies at a faculty of their own choice.
Based on a popular Japanese cartoon, Pokemon Go is a game where players hunt for virtual creatures and objects set in real locations. Released earlier in July, the game has become an instant hit among Poles.
