Poles are traditionalists and prefer simple gravestones for their family members (sometimes themselves as there are people who buy places in advance). One flat horizontal slab to put flowers and lanterns on, another vertical slab with names and dates, plus slogans.
There are nonstandard gravestones, too, often ordered for well known guys, artists, directors, businessmen. Fancy, but still nothing too extravagant, with a few exceptions only. Death is a serious matter here.
