Small farmers protest when the floods or draught destroy their crops and they expect the government to pay for it. Hardly anybody is insured. Or, like this year, during the disaster of abundance, prices of produce drop so much farmers can`t afford hiring seasonal workers to pick fruit and veg and it rots in the fields. Again, the government is blamed for allowing big food processing plants to lower the prices too much. Farmers don`t understand they must unite and possess their own means of processing food. Otherwise, they will never cease feeling being taken advantage of, especially that any produce, when in demand, might be cheaply imported within days.
