Pre-Christmas time is traditionally devoted to tidying up your place. I have already cleaned the toilet and the mouse cage today. I still have to clean the windows and the bathroom, not to mention dusting my shelves, hoovering the carpet etc. Yesterday I removed all green leftovers from the rabbit`s lair and changed cats` litter boxes (but I do it regularly so it wasn`t really a Christmas chore). Kids help too but if I want to have the job done faster and more precisely, I prefer to do it on my own.
A popular topic for small talk at the time, instead of the weather (white Christmas or not) and other crap is: Have you already tidied up before Christmas? Or it is a good excuse to leave poor company because one has to get down to tidying. Funny.
