www.ma.krakow.pl/ Of all Krakow`s museums the Archeological Museum is my favourite. Firstly, I have always been keen on history. Secondly, the museum is a very exciting place to visit. Some time ago it was reorganised and modernised. When I saw it after the redecoration, I couldn`t believe my eyes. I had never thought that it was possible to make such things in Poland, namely, present museum exhibits in such eye-catching way. Before, historical museums used to display dusty crap in dirty grey interiors. Well, times have surely changed. As a consequence, the museum is attractive both for adults and children, even those who are not interested in history.
Some photos are not very good quality - taking photos is allowed but flash lamps are forbidden in Egyptian section. However, not all is lost - bad quality photos encourage people to visit the place and see the exhibits as they really are.
The museum is divided into several sections, most of them connected with archeological findings in the Krakow area."

Mummies go as first
The mummies are original, they were excavated in 19 century and brought to Kraków then. No other museum in Poland has such display. The exhibition isn`t temporary, all this ancient stuff belongs to the museum and it won`t be returned to Egypt. The atmosphere is great inside, all these dim colours make you feel like inside a pyramid or a temple. It can be a bit scary but I didn`t see any signs of panic yet.
