Tomorrow we will celebrating St. Joseph Day, enjoy your day.
We just finished with St. Patrick's Day. In Chicago, IL. Mayor Daley cancelled St. Patrick's Day parade. Which is shame since Illinois are in tight budgets. Now they are talking about laying off teachers and CTA busdrivers and others.
Hope we be stronger for worst in coming future!

In Boston the St. Patrick's Day parade went on (on Sunday the 14th) despite torrential rain and flooding. It has never been cancelled in its over-100-year history!

You are lucky, by you they are very strongly Irish people who keep their tradition going. Lucky you! People who lives in South side of Chicago did have their own parade and I believe some of Chicago Policemen did marching their Irish Parade and their Irish costumes too. Their Bagpipes too. How lovely! I do love them.
