Jeanne,
I did it. But it was in a phone call conversation. Not directly but in the sense that I called her as a son, and asked her how she is doing. She had a surgery 1 May and I was with my parents for 9 days back then. She liked the fact that her son was with her and that she didn't had to think about her surgery before she went to the hospital. I live a few hundred miles from my parents place.
Cheers, Pieter

Cheers, Pieter Pieter, Bravo! You are a good son. I'm sure she was grateful for both your company when she was having her surgery and for your phone call to check in with her. As we get older, our roles with our parents begin to change, and they become more dependent on us and we must become more of the care-givers. It is not easy, but it is part of life... Jeanne

The Day is celebrated today in Poland. Also for the gone mothers. We drove past a cemetery and the car park was full.

The Day is celebrated today in Poland. Also for the gone mothers. We drove past a cemetery and the car park was full. The Polish are so good about their cemetery visits! Tomorrow in the U.S. we celebrate Memorial Day (a national holiday) and honor all those who died serving their country. We also use the occasion to remember all our dead. Many people are visiting the graves of their loved ones this weekend. There are also parades honoring those who served in the military.

I think I will protest the fact that no one is posting on this forum by attempting to post on every single thread...maybe that will catch someone's attention! It might take me awhile, but I'm going to work at it!

I'm fine, Tim! Great to see a "regular" posting! How about helping me respond to each board on the forum so we can catch Bonobo's attention?? (I don't blame you if you don't want to take the time...but I thought I'd give it a shot!)
