PiS decided to put the abortion issue into the freezer, fearing new protests and a further loss of supporters. PiS has had hard times recently, especially after losing municipal elections and revealing a few corruption scandals. That is why, at the media-free party convention today, Jarosław Kaczyński appealed to his conservative politicians and MPs not to press on making abortion law stricter. The status quo is to be retained.

This can`t be called pro-abortion movement - rather anti anti-abortion. Displaying shocking images in public space is a stupid idea so no wonder some people try to put a stop to it. An anti-abortion van was painted red.   Somebody burnt a van  and high school students covered shocking images  |

Yes, the images are shocking. I would not want to see them, but what does that tell us? It tells us that abortion is even more shocking... |
