The two mounds are likely mineral-licks or food of some kind.

do you mean the moving ones? What is moving there? Well, at certain hours the wild boars are moving there. I thought you jokingly call them the 'mounds'. Only now I realized you have called those piles 'the mounds'

I watched about 5 hours ago and counted 9 boar at one time. Apparently "Bonobo" means "bad hunter" in native american...

My husband bought a motion-sensor wildlife camera recently. He sets it up in the woods near our home and he's having a lot of fun seeing what shows up during the night; deer, coyotes, fisher cats, raccoons, opossums, a guy who smiled at the camera...

Bieszczady Mountains Wolves, foxes and bears prey on a deer carcass. Bears So...why aren't these bears hibernating? It looks like it's mid-winter...they should be snoozing!

So...why aren't these bears hibernating? It looks like it's mid-winter...they should be snoozing! They are young and curious, don`t want to hibernate when so many fun things happen around. Besides, the winter is mild.
