Eastern block countries exchanged and shared their pop culture. Song Festival in Polish Sopot was broadcast in all of them. It happened mainly in 1960s and 70s because after the rise of anti-communist Solidarity in 1981, Poland was cordoned off to avoid spreading the disease.
The most popular in Poland were singers from Czechoslovakia.
