Accordeon music from Poland by amateur musicians. I have two comments: 1. The young Polish man one of my daughters dated many years ago played the accordion. He came to the school I was working in and played for one of my classes. The young American kids had never heard music like that before and they were amazed! 2. I was disappointed...when I saw the title "Accordeon and me," I thought I was going to see a video of YOU playing the accordion!

Accordeon is quite pupular here, some guys don`t even go to schools, they just learn on their own or with their uncles`/fathers` help. That was the case with my father in law - pure self-made musician. Also with me - he taught me. Saying here means Europe, not only Poland. Just watch a trailer of a beautiful French film Amelie, the soundtrack is on my fav list, it is full of accordeon music. 2. Not so fast, take it easy. Let me introduce the subject first, you can`t knock the reader out with all your powerful arguments right in the beginning. That`s what I teach my students, you have just become one of them.

It fascinates me when people can teach themselves...that's a true gift! I like accordion music! What "powerful argument?" I only said I was disappointed I didn't see a video of you playing accordion!!...statement of fact, not an argument! Of course, now I'm arguing that it wasn't an argument! But, admit it, you enjoy arguing with me!!

But, admit it, you enjoy arguing with me!! It is a linguistic misunderstanding. I said "you" meaning not you personally but people in general. E.g., writing an essay, article or formal letter people should first introduce the topic instead of starting with their arguments right away. That`s what I did in this thread. Besides, we are in Memory board, and I am afraid I don`t possess an archive video with me playing the accordeon.

Thank you for that explanation...it was a linguistic misunderstanding on my part! That's a pity...perhaps you could record a session and post that for us! Have you kept up with your accordion skills?
