All kids loved his programme in 1970s coz it was full of interesting facts and stories about animals, mostly from his own experience. He was a wonderful storyteller. Through his programmes he encouraged viewers to love and take care of wildlife. Did he influence me in any way? Probably yes. The programme was usually recorded indoors but he was able to invoke very colourful images in my mind with his stories. So, it is quite possible he infected me with the love to animals and forest.
And, at the end, they always showed a Western cartoon like Yogi Bear, Pixie and Dixie or Huckleberry dog.
