Despite the snowflakes in the air today where I live, I believe that spring has truly arrived. I hope everyone who is dealing with the effects of the coronavirus will have the opportunity to get outside and enjoy nature as it comes back to life...it does lift the spirits!
One sign of spring that I particularly enjoy seeing is turtles sunning themselves on logs and on the banks of streams. During my daily walks this past week, I have seen five of them in the same spot everyday. It has been chilly this week, so they definitely need that sunshine to keep themselves warm!

Despite the snowflakes in the air today where I live, I believe that spring has truly arrived. Cold, even freezing temps here till after 20th May. One sign of spring that I particularly enjoy seeing is turtles sunning themselves on logs and on the banks of streams. Then spring is everyday for me when I look at our slider turtle sunning under the radiator.

Then spring is everyday for me when I look at our slider turtle sunning under the radiator. Nice way to keep spring around! Now that the weather has turned warmer, my neighborhood turtles no longer sun themselves...no need to! The mossy bank where I would see them sunning now has greenery growing all over it; amazing how things in nature fit together like that...when the turtles needed the sun, the bank was available; now that they don't need it, it serves other purposes.
