How Russians became modern Nazis - historical analogies

So far countries of Eastern Europe have remembered WW2 Nazi occupation as the most horrible time that had ever happened to them in their history. Now, barbaric Russian invasion of Ukraine offers a chance to replace old Nazis from 20th century by new ones from 21st - namely, Russians.

Historical analogy 1

Ukrainian civilians are taking shelter in the underground of their capital, Kiyv, while Russian missiles shell the city. Reminds me of Brits hiding in London Tube from Nazi air raides during WW2.

Ukranian Foreign Minister wrote:

Historical analogy 2

In September 1939 Nazis invaded Poland and air raided Polish cities, causing mass destruction. Warsaw was bombarded and shelled for two weeks during the siege.
Today, Russians are doing similar atrocities in Ukraine.
