Polish Police Organization in the 1930s

This is my first visit to this board, and I'm looking for help. I'm trying to re-construct the career of my uncle who was executed at Katyn. In 1938 he was assigned from the regional command (Kda Pow) to "III Komis," and then to the military command (Kda Woj) the next year. What is "III Komis?"

Here is the complete entry: "Ostatnio sluzbe pelnil w Toruniu - w lipcu 1938 przeniesiony z Kdy Pow. do III Komis., 22 IX 1938 do Kdy Woj. i tam nadal we wrzesniu 1939."

Ooops, I am sorry it took so long to answer you but I overlooked this message originally posted in another thread so I moved it here.

Of course, 3 Komis means police station no 3.
