I can read such reports a few times a year. This one relates abuse in a nursery school/creche while the previous one, a few weeks before - in caring facility for the elderly.
Three caregivers from a municipal nursery in Legionowo (Masovian Voivodeship) were dismissed from work for disciplinary reasons. One of the parents recorded the facility's employees with a dictaphone hidden in a toy. According to the nursery director, during their work the caregivers used vulgar words and insulted and frightened two-year-old children. The case was reported to the police.
The inappropriate behavior of caregivers from the municipal nursery "Motylowy Świat" was first described by journalists of the local "Gazeta Powiatowa". One of the parents recorded their conversations with a voice recorder hidden in a toy that the child came to the nursery with. The management was supposed to receive recordings from three days, made at the turn of January and February.
The parents wanted to know the exact content of the recordings. The principal talked about three fragments.
The first one was recorded when the child came to the facility in the morning. "Why are you roaring? Stop crying, I'm about to expose you to the cold" - these were the words of the caregivers quoted by Monika Poszytek. According to the director, the women were also supposed to address the children with the words: "what have you done, you idiot" and "I don't wish you any harm, but it would be good if you got sick."
Such inappropriate words are said to be used frequently in the recordings, but there is no evidence that physical violence against children occurred.
During the meeting, the timing of informing parents about the caregivers' dismissal aroused much emotion - they learned about the situation only five days later.
- Listening to recordings and talking to caregivers lasted all day. For me, the most important thing was to organize care for the children for the next few days, the director explained at the meeting.
These arguments did not convince the parents, who repeatedly asked why the facility did not immediately notify the police and the prosecutor's office.
