Only 3 per cent of Poles aged 24 to 34 want to live their lives as Catholics while 51 per cent placed the pursuit of love as the most important aspect of their lives. This is ironic as living one's life as a Catholic means, in the broad sense, the pursuit of love...the love of God and the love of neighbor. Love for god is results in hardships and sakrifays. For neigbor also. This peoples dreaming for love for them - find a relashenship and live happy as a star in magazin with famous peoples or TV serial. When I see my frends, religion is not so popular. Not many thinks deep about it. I sometayms think that I not deep in religion also. May be this is normal in young men?

Very good ideas. We students doing this many often, we not thinking about future, only present days what important.

Everyman born in Poland is Polishman. American sientists get Nobel Awards and who takes interesting of their coming background? Jewish, Indian, Autralian is not matter. He is American and Nobel Award go to America.
E.g, this Polish humanist was Jewish by family. But he lived in Poland, he speoke Polish tonge, he participated in Polish schools, studies, everything. Ludwik Zamenhof made Esperanto, a new speech for everymen of the wordl. In some moments I know that trabnslating Polish books was done into Esperanto and publicated in China, bkoz they didn`t were translators of Polish in Chineses.

Nationwide drop in crime in 2008 thenews.pl 09.02.2009
Last year saw a drop in crime in Poland according to statistics released by the National Police Headquarters.
In 2008, police registered over one million crimes nationally. That figure is about 71,000 less than in 2007, according National Police Headquarters spokesman Mariusz Sokolowski.
"The success of detection and arrests in 2008 was 65.9 percent and was the highest in police history. The previous year was already the fifth one in a row in which police success had decreased, stated Sokolowski.
According to police information, five years ago, there occurred an average of 3,000 criminal arrests daily. In 2008, there were an average of 4,000 criminal arrests made daily nationwide. Every two out of three arrests resulted in a sentence of paying a fine.
In 2008 there were 759 murders, as compared to 848 the year before. Last year saw 124,000 robberies in Poland – 17,500 less than the previous year. In 2008, liquidated 16 amphetamine factories.
In Poland we don`t have such bad. One must be cerefull, of course. I onc lost a mobile in the pub in Krakow, i keep it in my pocket of jacket, put the jacket on chair, go to bar, meet a friend, so we chatted, have beer or two. Come back to chair, no mobile, no studetns identity card. Jacket on the chair still, bkoz it was so old, and no fashionalbe. Now I keep my mobile everywhere to me, always.

[quote author=jeanne board=introduction thread=631 post=10176 time= I see your point, but I think personal challenge is good for a person...it's the only way we spur ourselves on to be better people or to accomplish more...[/quote]
But personall challengge creates destruction also. It start with personal and finishs with total war bkoz some mandmen thinks his personall problems must becomes a challengge for all peoples and must help him do somehting in it.

Rules are rules, even if you are Polish, remember you are on a German airline. Next time, take LOT. Mike It seems the Polish couple purposefully started and continued the argument. What did they want to gain? Thye want be considered normal peoples, not Ubermenschen from occupied Poland by fascists German of Hitler. Germans must learn that Polishmen are so good like Germans, not so worse than them. Germans passanger can be keep coats everywher, so why Polishmen can not?

The number of people living in Poland is much less, than the U.S.A. also the size is much smaller, but could be better in both. I don't remember, do the Polish police carry guns? Mike Yes, they carry and they have rifles in cars when they must shot to cars not wanting stop. Its like America.

Challengge is making progress is only half true matter. In reality mens` need for challengge finishes with war that destroyes them. Challengge is bad, maybe it is good in sport but in real living it creates destruction. Violense and brutality, is what I think on challengge.

Poland with Germans? Imposible. Polish peoples didn`t never agree with this. Germans were enemies of Poland, they know it, and uniting two armys was imposible.

I afraid that I donnot understand this text. Does they mean that the priest was a soldier in army in war worlds 2? That is improper... if so is truth. Tomek, He didn't become a priest until after the war. It says his experiences during the war helped him to make the decision to become a priest. Thanks Jaenne. This is familiar to Polish pope John II. He also becoeme a priest after WW2 bkoz he has so many bad experience.

Thank you all for your well wishes. It's nice to see each and every one of you and I look forward to some great times on the board. Is that whiskey Bo?? lol Jim I supposition is whisky, yes. It is good alcohol, exotics, more better then Polish wodka. Man can drink whisky slow, small sips, many hours, enjoyment of taste. And they not get drunked. In wodka men drink fast, very fast and lawys get on drunken. Wisky is trendy in my groups, we condemn fast drinkers with wodka.

There is a KFC along with McDonalds and Pizza Hut, all along the same street, in Warsaw. We ate at the KFC in Warsaw, and it was not like the one at home, the taste was different, we did not know why. Mike Easy answer...it was Polish chicken! ;D Polish food is more health then abroad food. Not so many additions, artificials, preserves. I think this.
