I don`t care. If this is religion in school or not, the same to me. I had never problems with priests in schools, they were very nice guys, I like theirs. When there no religion in school, people can go to church for religion, don`t they? When there is religion in school, peopel save time and not go to church because they have at school. Simple.
I don`t oppose that my children have religion at school.
Even if not for God it will be done, religion is great tradition in Poland which keeps Polish peoples together. It is a matter different from Western European countryes, in whcih traditional religion is down because peoples stop beliefs and new immigrants take new religion with theirs. And see what happens: people Western Europe don`t know still they live in Western Europe or Asia or Africa.
I am not fascination for church, I look at it normally, but religion can be good for Poland and Polish traditional way.

20 years of market economy in Poland Polish Radio 23.12.2008
It's been 20 years today since the first free market law was introduced in the then still communist Poland.
I don`t remember times of communist fall. Only my granpas and parents talk to me about it. Communists were crazy men - they shoot to people who didn`t want communism. I read about it in this thread Polish Resistance to Communism.

Walk-in confessional for Christmas shoppers Polish Radio 22.12.2008
In the run up to Christmas, many Catholic church goers go to Confession. With shopping in full swing in time for Wigilia, or Christmas Eve, not everyone adheres to this religious tradition.
One priest in Kraków, southern Poland, had another idea though. Instead of people going to church, he brought the church to them.
Over the weekend, Father Jacek Stryczek, an academic chaplain, erected a confessional in one of the city's main shopping malls, with a sign saying "There exists another world".
The action was to make people aware that Christmas is a time of meeting with the true God. In this vain the priest reminded shoppers that this time of Advent is for preparations for Christmas, not just for buying presents for loved ones. This priest is know in Krakow. He takes bike to church, and start cycling. I mean bike which stands on ground, of course, isn`t driving on the floor. SOme people are offended, some like this. The priest is a showmane and he think showing such amusing plays bring people to church and to God too. He know better then I. If he think this all right, let him be so.

The artist whose paintings were used by Warsawians to rebuild their destroyed city after WW2. I suppose many artists would give everything they had to become so appreciated. I had Art in primary school and the pictures were in the books from Canalletoo, about Warsaw. He was a fine artist.

I have tried loggin out of our Polish Forum. Was an anonymous user for a while. What I got was the old boring grey and whitish skin which we used a few months ago. So, does anybody have the same problem? Can you see the new various-shades-of-green skin of the Polish Forum at all?? With the picture of storks next to a combine harvester at the top? I have always seen the boring grey and whitish skin, which I attribute to the ancient age of my computer. I was haveing the same problem. But on one day I browsed in my profile and found sth there. In it you must find account preferecens and there is a button Skin change. Afterwards you change from Default to Green, and you see a new skin. It is much more better then the old skin. I agree that this grey is depressed.
