I did a google translate of the song. Its rough, but, you get the meaning. On my screen the English version only appeared but when I copied it and pasted, both versions showed up. An interesting insight into how Google translate works. It is a beautiful song.

Tim, the song was written especially for the girl. She really had a hard life. She was born in Bucaresti, Romania. Shortly after that her parents went with her to live in Sicilly, Italy. I am glad you like the song. It is very moving.
