Wow, That looks very interesting. I may need to read it. Here is a book I read about two years ago. www.hippocrenebooks.com/book.aspx?id=1094 I purchased it at a pottery shop in Seattle. The book has lots of recipes, but it is so full of tradition and cultural reference that the cooking is almost secondary. I really felt a new understanding of my grandparents and why they did the things they did. I would love to hear a Polish persons opinion of the book after reading it. -Tim

Tim, I didn't read the book, but I agree - a great way to know a country is through intelligently written cook-book, where cooking recipes are in fact secondary.
