Results: Krakow managed to defend itself quite well. Actually, even the record level of water wasn`t enough to break through main walls which protect the city centre and most important districts. See here:  Some parts, luckily in less important areas, not protected enough, were flooded, though. A few streets and tunnels were closed, as well as 2 bridges, causing giant jams, which is quite easy in claustrophobic and crowded Krakow.  a dozen small businesses and a few dozen houses were striken by the flood.....   |
