who's the admin then? sure we all help to create it but at the end of the day someone owns it outright. me thinks it's u. I don`t own it. It belongs to Proboards, they offered the site for free at the cost of advertisements. If I was alone here, it could be called my forum. But as it is created by other people, it is no longer mine. As for my admin`s prerogatives, don`t worry about them. So far I have never used them on anybody. Even Puzzler, the most aggressive poster in our Polish forum, wasn`t banned. I used teacher`s persuasive skills on her and she changed her ways. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D bottom line, it's yours. hehe

bottom line, it's yours. hehe I never cease to admire your ability to use colloquial language. I would like to have it at my disposal. Unfortunately, the language they taught me was very formal, that is why I seldom apply idioms and slang in my posts. They must sound very old-fashioned, I am afraid. ;D ;D ;D

This is very much appreciated! Just as the explanations of all those ' I fell and I can't get up', 'Wassup B' etc, which I sometime heard but never quite new what was it all about.

Today he is accused of being in possession of morphine tablets and false testimony to the court. Tufta, how can I trust a company who has such a chairman? He is even worse than President Kaczyński who has many vices but at least he doesn`t take drugs...

Markets keep plummeting.. and keep plummeting.... and keep plummeting.....
But I am so relaxed... I am writing in the forum, ignoring the losses.
However, I can see that the number of visitors has dropped. It is obvious, in times of big trouble people have more important things on their mind than reading posts by relaxed guys....
To everybody who is losing their money! Guys, relax! Money means nothing! What really matters is health, loving family and pious life. Everything beyond it is a giant heap of s -hit.

Do you know who Bob Dylan is? In one of his songs he said, "...if you ain't got nuthin', you got nuthin' to lose..." That pretty much applies to me! (as far as money goes!) I've got my health, a loving family and I'm livin' the pious life, so by Bonobo's standards I'm doing okay! (by my standards too!) ;D

Mike Mike, I'm not sure, but when I looked it up it looked like the times were all AM. and that here (eastern time) it would be shown an hour later than GST. In other words if it was listed as 9 it would be 10 here. I think you are central time, right? then add 2 hours to the listed times. I'm at work durring the day so I didn't get a chance to even look for it. Maybe someone else has a better answer... Gram

The one "bright spot" NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- If there's one bright spot in a bad economy, it's that gasoline prices have fallen, and they're expected to drop even further.
As the global economy falters, demand for oil has dropped. And since the price of oil makes up about half of the cost of a gallon of gas, analysts see more relief ahead at the pump.
"We ought to see prices drop pretty quickly," said American Automobile Association spokesman Geoff Sundstrom. "We're well on our way to $3 gas within the next week or two."

What do Americans think about Wall Street bankers who "rewarded" themselves with bonuses worth 18.8 billion? Most of this money probably comes from 700 billion bailout presented to banks by US Congress last year.

It all depends of what party you are, one thinks it is O.K, and I myself think it stinks. With the bail out, that our great grandchildren will be paying off, has many other kinds of wasts. Our leader wants to put us in another New Deal, like FDR did and that cost us a lot, and was a major mistake, and did not change until the war.

What do Americans think about Wall Street bankers who "rewarded" themselves with bonuses worth 18.8 billion? Most of this money probably comes from 700 billion bailout presented to banks by US Congress last year. President Obama's reaction:Obama Irate At Bail-Out Payouts 12:52am UK, Friday January 30, 2009 Barack Obama has branded Wall Street fat cats who collected billions in bonuses while taxpayers bailed out their crippled industry as "shameful". The newly elected US President said the finance firm bosses were guilty of acute "irresponsibility". He was reacting to a newspaper article which detailed the $18.4bn (£12.9bn) in bonuses paid out by Wall Street firms last year. The exorbitant payouts were collected as stock markets plunged and the economy dived towards a recession. President Obama said the bosses must sacrifice along with other Americans as the country tries to get back on its feet. "It is shameful, and part of what we are going to need is for the folks on Wall Street who are asking for help to show some restraint and show some discipline and show some sense of responsibility," he told reporters in the Oval Office. "The American people understand that we have got a big hole we have got to dig ourselves out of. "But they don't like the idea that people are digging a bigger hole as they are being asked to fill it up." Mr Obama said there would be time for them to rake in profits and bonuses later in the economic cycle, he said. "But now is not that time." full article: news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/Barack-Obama-Anger-At-Wall-Street-Bonuses-US-President-Labels-Bail-Out-Payouts-Shameful/Article/200901415213435?lpos=World_News_First_World_News_Article_Teaser_Region_2&lid=ARTICLE_15213435_Barack_Obama_Anger_At_Wall_Street_Bonuses%3A_US_President_Labels_Bail-Out_Payouts_Shameful

He needed to put more control over this, if he cared. Just wait until ACORN get the large amount set aside for them, and what they will do with it.

I think a lot of Americans are anxious to see how the Bush Bailout plays out now that Obama is president.

G. W. Bush, no longer has control of this bail out, that it needs, so it will all go the wrong way.

I practically ceased taking interest in stock market. I withdrew all our assets from the investment funds long ago in order to use them on purchasing properties. They are a much better investment coz they never go down, always up.
