This is about .5 kilometer from my house. Random river birds and such. Not a thing to do with Poland or anything else but you might enjoy.

When I film such nature stuff in Poland, the implied reason behind it is that it is rare or at least hard to find. You filmed wild ducks or geese and turtles, some kind of sliders, focusing your camera on them for a long time. A question: does it mean that ducks and slider turtles are so unusual to spot and film in the USA? Next one: can you shoot these fowl? A few more: In Mark Twain`s Adventures of Tom Sawyer boys spend some time on a desert island on the river and eat turtle eggs. Were they slider turtle eggs? Have you ever eaten these eggs? Once I filmed a woman feeding a swan. It was an unusual scene that is why I also put it in youtube: www.youtube.com/user/pawianbonobo#p/u/66/4ZpZpd-ztcAwww.youtube.com/user/pawianbonobo#p/u/66/4ZpZpd-ztcA

Bo, All the fowl in my video are extremely common and can be harvested in season with a very inexpensive hunting permit. The area I filmed in is within a city so hunting with firearms is not permitted. Only for self-defense can a weapon be discharged within a city or town. Only hunting by trapping or fishing is permitted within a community.
The Blue Heron (large fishing bird) is a protected species and was at one time rare but now common. The Seagulls are a more recent development but common near the Great Lakes.
I used to catch Snapping Turtles as a younger man in Wisconsin. They were very good eating and quite large. I have never eaten turtle eggs but I would try them. My philosophy would be to leave the eggs to hatch and grow then harvest the turtle.
At my workplace we had such a bad infestation of geese that we bought several mating pairs of Swans to run the geese off. (our Swans are very aggressive)This worked well for a few years until a pair of coyotes had a litter of pups on the property and after eating the gosling's proceeded to eat the Swans. Only the largest male survived. Keep in mind this all occurred within an area of 2-300,000 people.

Only hunting by trapping or fishing is permitted within a community. Can I use a bow and arrows? Oh, you are talking about alligator snapping turtles? In one of my English textbooks there is a text about endangered species...... The wild encroaches on human property. ;D
