Despite the crisis, floods and the air crash, Poles view 2010 as a good year. So do I. Thank you God, for everything my family and I received this year from You.
Poles pleased with 2010 30.12.2010 10:31
A poll conducted by Homo Homini for Polish Radio finds that 68 percent of Poles positively assess 2010, with only 28 percent saying that the year gone by was bad.
Marcin Duma, head of the Homo Homini Institute, which undertook the poll, has said that even though Poles are generally satisfied with 2010, the negative 28 percent of negative votes is a reflection of this year’s wave of floods and other unfortunate events.
According to Marcin Duma, the overwhelmingly positive response as to 2010 reflects how Poles look into quality of life, including employment and family life. A clear signal of this is the Smolensk catastrophe in April, which even though was a national tragedy, did not have a direct effect on people’s lives.
The poll was conducted by telephone among a representative group of 1,100 Poles on 28 December.
