I was able to observe one taking a little rest. It must have been having an active dream, because it was twitching a bit. Peregrine falcons are amazing! Check out this video to see more of what this magnificent bird is able to do:

Falcons are beautiful and I do really like them, but NOTHING compares to the storks. I'm anxiously awaiting their return to the nest on webcam in Kalinski. They are a bit late this year...last year they arrived on the 27th of March.: www.bociany.kalinski.pl

Warsaw’s falcon webcam 22.04.2010 11:37
Spying on a couple of falcons nesting on the 45th floor of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, via webcam, has created a flutter among Polish nature enthusiasts.
On Thursday morning over 150 bird enthusiasts were viewing a female called Sawa and her mate Wars as well as their newly hatched baby, thanks to webcams transmitting this nature show on the internet.
The newborn broke the shell of its egg on Tuesday. There are three more eggs in the nest, so there may well be more hatching soon. Sawa is busy sitting on the eggs. Last year there were four in the nest but the couple eventually brought up only one young falcon.
Wars and Sawa (named after legendary founders of Warsaw) are peregrine falcons. These birds became extinct here in the 1960s and were re-introduced in Warsaw in 1996.
The Association for Wild Animals built the nest for them, which has been used ever since. Since 2000, a total of 17 falcons were hatched in Warsaw.
Keep up to date with the domestic arrangements of the two love birds here. The strangest comments I read so far in Polish radio site: Comments * Alex 22.04.2010 16:44 Now, aren't we glad that this beautiful Palace of Culture and Science hasn't been destroyed per some hotheads' suggestions? Alex * Anton 22.04.2010 18:44 Clearly the people of Warsaw have failed to show any measurable level of self-respect and dignity when it comes to the Palace of culture. By defending the edifice built by Stalin and imposed on the people of Poland they dishonored the memory of those murdered in the Katyn Forrest.
You cannot have credibility by honoring our fallen patriots from one side of your mouth and at the same time condone urinating on their graves from the other side of your mouth.
Shame on Warsaw!
Anton * Felix 22.04.2010 18:50 Why not a statue of Hitler in Warsaw?
If through some diseased though process the people of Warsaw see fit to allow the Palace of culture to remain standing then they have agreed to the veneration of Stalin. It would not be surprising to see these same people devoid of any morality or patriotic duty try to erect a statue of Hitler.
Felix * Boris 22.04.2010 18:53 Finally we have realized a proper use for the Palace of culture a place for a Polish bird to have a shit.
Boris * Alex 22.04.2010 21:20 Anton, to show their respect for those murdered in Katyn forest, Poles should destroy absolutely ALL buildings erected under the Soviet occupation! Alexwww.thenews.pl/national/artykul130117_warsaws-falcon-webcam.html

Tom, this link doesn`t work anymore. Two babies in Warsaw nest. The city asked residents to propose names. One of them - Mieszko for the male baby, after the first ruler of Poland.
