Bonobo, Bent Plywood Bicicle by Stanislaw Ploski

The sleek and durable design of 'Bonobo' comes to the rescue of urban cyclists. Designer Stanislaw Ploski from Warsaw, Poland was thinking simplicity and functionality when he developed a bike created out of bent plywood. This bike defines sheer reliability with its strong and lightweight frame created from composite wood. As a part of the 'perspective' exhibition at the DMY Berlin 2011, this unique design demonstrates a remarkable effort to ensure a smooth and enjoyable ride.

Wow, beautiful design bike Bo.

This will creat an export boom from Poland to Bicicle countries; the Netherlands, Denmark and China.
And maybe it will improve the popularity of bicicles in Poland and the bicicle sport. Poland is one of the larger nations and using a bicicle as means of transportation is healthy, cheap and relaxing.

I really like this design! I will bet that if the material is laminated in such a way as to allow the frame to flex and absorb road bumps, the ride would be very smooth indeed! I can envision different woods and stains that would make such a ride a stunning work of art. Maybe some carvings and such. Each one as unique as a snowflake.
