Yes, I like it too, even those horrible socialist blocks. They are here and will stay for centuries, we ve got to love them.

Apart from old towns, there are some new ones, created in 20 century.  Such places lack the medieval center and 19 century bourgeais districts, so they are seldom appreciated by old architecture fans.

One of them is Gdynia - a major sea port built in 1920s.














Or Stalowa Wola - an industrial town created just before and developed after WW2.

Thanks very much for these wonderful images taken from the sky from medieval Old Town, Modern city centres and ports and Nowa Huta like new 20th century neighbourhoods or subburbs.

I like the image of Gdynia with the cranes very much. I grew up in a small seaport, and therefor ports or harbourcities have always my attention.

If so, you like Gdañsk photos too.

It is a more traditional city than Gdynia.
