The title of this thread gives a very misleading impression. Where you actually at the parades in Warsaw or Wrocław? According to the sociologist Professor Andzej Richard what was reported afterwards was a totally 'falsification' of what actually happened: In Wrocław we (the anti-fascists) were attacked were fire torches: In Warsaw it happened as follows: Many Germans were arrested in the border Those who made it to Warsaw as well as Polish anti-fascists were attacked by Polish Neo-Nazis An historical enactment group joined in with the attack on the anti-fascists On Constitution Square the 'patriots' (i.e. Neo-Nazis and various people who didn't realise that it was Neo-Nazis who organsied the event) attacked the police (from about 4:50): They also also attacked a left-wing shop: and a Vegan restaurant (from 4:59): Meanwhile, Germans (who, it has to be remembered, had done nothing wrong) who had been arrested were put in cells for 32 hours, denied a lawyer, an interpreter; proper food, drink and heat for all that time. Additionally, some were made to strip off and do exercises. Professor Andrzej Rychard is, as you have seen, very critical not only about the media write-up of the events, but also a Polish civic society that was not critical enough to stand with the anti-fascists. While that may give a negative impression of Poland, I have to also say that I am proud of the Poles who stood with me in Wrocław and those who were there in Poland who wished to celebrate the independence of Poland in a manner which is pro-democratic. |

We have had these people cause problems recently also. Mockery and ridicule seems to be their Achilles heel. Strangely, Statism is almost the definition of fascism. The police in Berkley did nothing because the mayor is an Antifa member. However Auburn University was a different story. The really funny part was that the police would not allow members to conceal their faces due to old anti-KKK laws. I present my evidence of mockery and ridicule being super-effective: Antifa has zero swag.. |

No fighting but nationalists mixed with neofascists had to give up after anti-nationalists organised cascade blockades on the route of the march.   |
