Polish men murdered black Dutch cabdriver


Cab driver Radj Anand was murdered by Poles because he was black

In oktober 9 2010 three Polish men murdered the Dutch Hindustanian Surinamese cabdriver Radj Anand, because he was black in their eyes. In a shocking documentry tonight on the Dutch television this story was brough, not by a sensation program, but by a quality documentry news program.

The hunt for and arrest of the main suspect was an international cooperation between the Polish and Dutch police via Interpol. The Polish Police of Dobrzyn nad Wisla arrested the young man (24) for some Fines he did not payed and found out what he did. They contacted the Dutch police via Interpol and extradited the suspect to the Netherlands. At Schiphol airport he was placed in a prison and there they put an undercover Polish police officer next to him in his room who got more information out of him. The Polish cooperation and decisive action was good for the Polish image in the Netherlands. This Polish thugs were seen in the documentry as racist low life criminals, not as general Poles. The Dutch tv was in Dobrzyń nad Wisłą with a Polish speaking Dutch journalist, who interviewed the boys of his environment/neigghbourhood, who knew him. They were suprised about his terrible crime, because they new him as a guy who always helped his friends. He came from a troubled family. His mother was an alcoholic, who ran away and in Dobrzyń nad Wisłą he could not find a job, so he left for the Netherlands without informing his friends.

In the Netherlands he caused trouble before in threatening people, and a few days before the murder the Dutch police managed to remove him from the roof of a building, because he wanted to commit suicide.

In the Brabant city Tilburg one night two years ago the Polish man who was 22 back then and under the influence of Coke, Pado's and speed went to a row of taxi's and chose the cab of the dark skinned Radj Anand, who was an experianced and respected taxi driver with a good record. The man of Dobrzyń nad Wisłą was accompanied by two compatriots. Driven to the fake destination he was shot and dumped on the side of the road. The sister of the victim said that she hoped that her brother did not suffer, but unfortunately it took some time for him to die. It was three 'o clock in the morning in the middle of the night. That saturday had been a beautiful Indian summer, the night was clear and the temperature 7 degrees celcius. There was a weak to moderate Eastern wind.

Anand was a familyman, loved by his Dutch colleages and a friend/buddy of one of the female taxi drivers. They got along well. Anand was described as a warm and kind guy, who never had problems with people and never had experianced racism before.

That fatal night changed it all. The three men deliberately choose his cab, because he was "black" and in their eyes did not deserve to live, because he was inferior to them.

Radj Anand (37) leaves behind a wife and three young children in the neighbourhood Korvel of Tilburg. His brother, who is a cab driver at the same taxi company and sister still have to face the fact what happened. His beautiful sister, who speaks excellent Dutch without an accent, said that she hoped that the Polish killer will apologize for his act and feels sorry. She expects the murder to realise what pain and sorrow he caused to her, his brother, wife, kids and colleages.

P.S.- Iposted this message, because I am a fierce oponent of Geert Wilders hotline for Central- and eastern European immigrants, but also wanted to show the reality of Polish criminals that operate in the Netherlands. In some cases there concern about bad elements from Poland that are over here is justified. The cooperation with the Polish authorities shows that they agree with that. Vice versa ofcourse the Netherlands cooperates with Poland if Dutch criminals are active in Poland. Groups from Poland, former Yugoslavia and other CEECs are active in the drugs trade, vehicle theft, cyber crime, Confidence tricking, Human trafficking and burglary overhere. Unfortunately often fellow Polish compatriots are victim of Polish individual criminals or gangs. Sometimes they are exploited, systematically robed for a long period, threatened and victim of mental and physical pressure and abuse. I heard of a few cases last years that Poles died due to the crimes of compatriots. Ofcourse the majority of the news I here is positive, but I am and was concerned about the bad elements that are here too. Most Poles are, decent, hard working, tax paying and law abiding citizens.

I am also repulsed when I am confronted with skin-color racism and unfortunately this is a fact of life in a multi-cultural society, so I witnessed it as a child, teenager, student and adult. Racism unfortunately exist in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Russia, the USA and other countries, even if no white people are around, like in Sudan, in India (Caste system) or predominantly coloured and black societies in Southern-America, where the more light skinned creoles have a higher position than the darker skinned creoles.

Racism is on of the nastiest human characteristics. Fortunately there is less racism today than in the past, because human civilization, democratic society and the morality of the EU does not accept it.
In the Netherlands in the eightees a young black teenager was murdered by a white young man. A Dutch cab driver did not want to have blood on the interior of the car and the boy died. A famous Dutch pop singer made a protest song about it. This is the song.

The murder of Kerwin Duinmeijer



Kerwin Duinmeijer (born Kerwin Lucas, but he took on the surname of his fosterparents) (June 5, 1968 - Amsterdam, August 21, 1983) was a Netherlands Antillean boy from Amsterdam who died as a victim of Pointless Violence. Duinmeijer was stabbed to death outside a snackbar in the Damstraat. The perpetrator of this crime was the 16-year-old Nico Bodemeijer, a Dutch skinhead whose Jewish father, awkwardly enough, was a survivor of World War II. After he had been stabbed, Duinmeijer ran to the Dam Square where he tried to acquire a taxi. The taxi drivers told Duinmeijer to wait for an ambulance, because they are legally not allowed to transport seriously injured passengers. The ambulance arrived 20 minutes later and Kerwin Duinmeijer was taken to hospital. However, the ambulance had taken too long and the medical help was futile; shortly after arriving at hospital Kerwin Duinmeijer died from his injuries.

Bodemeijer was condemned for the murder, but according to the judge there was not enough proof to define and see the act as an act of racism. Bodemeijer was placed under the authority of the Dutch government within the under 18's - TBS system, a psychiatric-based programme. He was released in 1988 but was jailed once more for another, non-lethal, stabbing, in a bar in 1990. In 1998 he threw a wheelclamp on the car of a parking warden, which generated some new publicity. According to a Dutch tv station Bodemeijer committed suicide in January 2012.
A memorial is held in the Vondelpark every year on the 20th of August. In this park one can find the statue of Mama Baranka (Mother Earth (Rock)) -by the Dutch/Antillean sculpturer Nelson Carrilho- which was raised in remembrance of Kerwin. A street in Diemen was named after Kerwin. This street was later renamed Kerwin Lucasstraat.
The song Zwart Wit ("Black White") by the Frank Boeijen Groep was based on the murder on Kerwin Duinmeijer.
"Kerwin, Sign of the Times" (Kerwin, teken van de tijd), was a documentary film by Froukje Bos, broadcast by NOS-tv and European Broadcasting Union in 1984, receiving the Grand Prix d'Anube and press-award at the International film festival Bratislava 1985, as well as the J.B.Broeksz award 1985 (VARA).

The Dutch pop singer Frank Boeijen who made this protest song about the murder was later threatend by the murderer Nico Bodemeijer. Bodemeijer wanted to kill him too.

A majority of Dutch temporary employment agencies happily comply with employers’ requests not to supply Turkish, Moroccan or Surinamese workers.

This is the conclusion of research by two sociologists at the VU University Amsterdam. The two scientists approached 187 agencies with a - false - request to supply workers for jobs at a call centre.

They asked each of the temp agencies whether it would be possible not to supply Surinamese, Turkish or Moroccan workers. In 76.8 percent of cases the agencies agreed to the request - in direct violation of Dutch law, which forbids discrimination in any form.

The two sociologists say it is clear from the reactions they got that prejudice against Moroccans is stronger and more widespread than the bias against members of the other two ethnic groups.

P.S.- Mind yout that these Turks and Moroccans live in the Netherlands for three or somtimes four decades. They are Duch people with a foreign background, often speak the language fluently, but they have a Northern-African or Mediterranean look, and Muslim background. A Polish person (because he or she is European looking) gets easier a job in certain professions than a Dutch migrant with a Turkish or Moroccan background or a native Dutch unemployed, because the employers find the Polish workers more motivated and that they work much harder. (and I have to say the Dutch employers are right at this point, I can't deny that fact). A Dutch employer said on the Dutch tv yesterday, I rather have a Pole who wants to travel 2000 km to the Netherlands to do this job, who works hard, who works with dedication and does his job good, than a Dutch unemployed who lives 20 km away and who can't make it on time. This was a Horticulture entrepreneur, who has a lot of Polish workers.

Dr. Grada Kilomba is psychologist, writer, and university lecturer. She worked for several years in the psychiatry with war survivors and developed projects in the fields of memory, trauma and performing arts. Early on she started publishing her literary work in the form of Essays, Prosa and Poetry, approaching remembered stories of slavery, colonialism and everyday racism. Among other publications, she is the author of ‚Plantation Memories’ (Unrast 2008), a book which has been enthusiastically presented all over Europe. Currently she is writing on her new novel: ‚Kalunga’.

P.S.- In my opinion this women is a very eloquent speaker, who is able to explain on the sociological, psychological, social-cultural, media, image building and thus historical leven of New, newest and present (today) history. Racism exist on a very subtle, refined and vicious intelligent level in Western-Europe. Often racism exist in the sense that white European people speak in degratory ways of black compatriots or foreigners, simply because they are black, colored people with African looks. From very rude, blunt, vulgar, direct racism to harmful very (multi-) layered kinds of racism. For instance an intelligent person who is working somewhere, and who is instructred or treated like a low educated, uneducated person, while she or he has an academical (University or MIT) level. Due to his or her Afro-European or African appearance some people treat them like less intelligent. Not directly but indirectly. This is quite painful and harmful, but often these situations occur without criticism or that it is noticed by fellow colleages. Black and colored people keep mostly silent about it themselves, and just live with it. It is actually tragical.
Next to this phenomenon I witnessed some migrant groups like Turks and Moroccans behaving racist towars black compatriots. A black friend of mine (of Surinamese-Antillian descent) really has an Issue with Muslim migrant men of the groups I described above here. They look at him and communicate with him on the street in a derogatory way. He is a progressive (leftwing) man, but unfortunately had to admid that he dislikes Moroccans, because of the way they treat him.
There have been confrontations and clashes between Moroccan and black Antiallian youth in the Netherlands. Again, black and colored people often don't talk about discrimination, xenophobia or racism, because people are fed up with "Affirmative action", "The anti-racist/anti-fascist cause", and things like discrimination hotlines. That's why Geert Wilders party became so popular. I write this down to put things into perspective. The murder of the Surinamese Dutch Cab driver in the Brabant fits into the large image of race relations within the European Union. If I think about scary agressive and sytematic racism, I think about East-Germany and Russia, because last years several racist murders took place there. I know colored and black people who do not visit the Russian Federation, because racism is so blantant there. If you are brown or black, your life isn't secure in Moscow or Sint Petersburg, due to the Russian ultra-nationalist ethnic slav racism, called Russicism. A sort of White Power ideology in which the Russian is the Slav super aryan and other non Russian and non-white races are inferior and targets for attack!

I agree with you Bo, these guys, looked like, excuse me for the expression, white trash lowlifes, skinhead/Hooligan sort of guys, the Polish indifferant comrades from the main suspect, looked like typical hip Hop stile -Polish version- of low class, unemployed, hanging around, kids who look for trouble with other groups of kids. Lonsdale t-shirts, bald heads, Sweatpants and Bleached jeans, black t-shirts and baseball hats.
This kind of young men exist in Poland, Germany, Russia, France, the Netherlands. Everywhere where there are white European people, at least in the larger Western countries.

I can't proove that they were skinheads, Neo-nazi's or Hooligans, but what was clear from the documentry was that they deliberately choose the cab of Radj Anand with the motive of a racist murder. European white males who use a cocktail of harddrugs, in combination with alcohol and racist views are extremely dangerous.
This will be a real danger in the near future, because with the economical crisis, rising xenophobia, discrimination and racism, agressive actions against colored people and other migrant may become acceptable like in the thirtees in Germany and Austria. In East-Germany local populations encouraged far right gangs when they attacked and set fire to homes of asylumseekers.
