After WW2, all German military cemeteries were destroyed or seriously damaged. The reason was obvious - there was no place for graves of murderous occupants on Polish soil. All Germans were evil, even when dead and buried.
The attitude started changing with the passage of time, the collapse of the communist system and adopting democracy and Polish access to the EU.
Today, German soldiers` graves are restored or erected anew.
