In Warsaw, built by Etgar Keret, a Jewish artist with Polish roots: It is in the gap, between these two blocks: Funny, but I odn`t think he treats it seriously - it is an artistic performance.

If it's an artistic performance, that doesn't mean he doesn't take the building seriously. Most artists take their art very seriously, and probably the same applies to him. Here is an artist who is incorporating his art into his life in a very real and tangible way...the space where he lives! To me that's a very real form of art!!

I am sort of an artist myself. I can assure you that everything we do is for fame and popularity because we crave for it so much and can`t live without it. Artist`s life is not piece of cake, as some people might think.

However, I do think an artist will try to incorporate his art into all aspects of his life, just because as a creative person, that's how he/she thinks about things. Their art isn't separate from the rest of their mundane life...not if they are a true artist at heart!

Then we aren`t sure how to treat it: as genuine art or a cheap joke.

No more comments from me on this subject! ;D ;D ;D

While I think it's great the artist lives there in the space he created, I couldn't live in a space like that...I would get claustrophobia!!

Well, I suppose he doesn`t live there, only stays on his visits to Warsaw. I would still get claustrophobia, even on a visit! Strange, but I like narrow objects, I have always found them fascinating, I showed it in a few threads in the forum. In our summer house I turned a part of the forgotten corridor into my bedroom, it is wide enough to fit a mattress there. Big spaces make me feel uneasy. I think it is called agarophobia.
