I admid I did not knew what the word bump means, it isn't used in my editing/tv world.

So I looked it up, because you are never to old to learn something new.

Next to this meaning it can mean a collision or impact, a bump (road), where two routes both turn in opposite directions at an intersection, a bump function, a mathematical function which has a non-empty bounded support.

And the word is used in bump mapping, a computer graphics technique or like bumping (chemistry), the irregular boiling of a liquid.

No Peter. Bump in forums means that you want to attract people`s attention to a particular thread. I wrote it to check out one thing about the new layout.
