Poland’s Environment Minister informed that 139,000 Volkswagen cars owned by Polish drivers are fitted with the controversial “defeat device” that enables manipulation of exhaust results in diesel engines.

There goes the German gründlichkeit, reliability and thus good name! Volkswagen, Audi, Opel, Mercedez and BMW always stood for quality and German reliability and and quality.

Yes, the image has been tarnished. But Germans are clever guys, they will keep doing their best to increase the quality of their goods, so I suppose after a while, the world opinion will change for better again.

I have the same feeling Bo. I think this was an incident. Germans are human beings who make mistakes, just like we Poles, Dutch, Danes, Czechs, Americans, Russians, Ukrainians, Israeli's and Palestinians.

I hope that this news will have no concequences for Polish jobs in Volkswagen car factories in Poland. Nor for Skoda employee's.
