I have heard the name very often but never had a chance to see the town. I came across photos a few days ago and they made me sad. The town wasn`t too lucky - first time, destroyed during the war - second time, when the authorities decided to build communist apartment blocks instead of rebuilding the original quarters in the centre.

Ooops, today it looks really disgusting. Yes, I know, I know, they had no choice... But still....
I hate such combinations, really depressing.
Even a few precious historical monuments don`t prevent the town from being a poor shadow of what it was before the war.
