Yes, the regime television started censoring news. So funny because there are private stations and Internet which don`t hide anything. Today, the evening news didn`t inform: - about possible downgrade of Polish rating by another agency (it caused little panic in financial circles) - about rising banking fees in the biggest state bank (though the government promised that fees would remain the same, opposite to other banks) BTW, I don`t watch TV, whether regime or not. link

Good for you Bo. Television is so bad nowadays. Stupid entertainment, sitcoms, reality tv about Neanderthales today, cheap gossip news, very shorts serious news, long advertisements which are a waste of your time to watch, cheap music, a lot of bling bling and empty and hollow show business, boring sport programs and a self centred media and press world. The same is the case with the political and administrative elite, which has lost contact with the electorate, reality of real people in their daily lives in Polish hamlets, villages, urban agglomerations, towns and cities. Ofcourse there is stil a honest, good and quality press of empathic, research driven, critical, rational-analytical, academical educated Polish intelligentsia. Intellectual journalists who have studied the political world of Poland, the Political system, the political parties, their grassroots movements, think tanks, scientific bureau's, statistics, developments in the parliament (voting process, decision making, government vs opposition parties, speeches, statements, political developments and etc.), the Polish economy, Trade, the Financial sector, taxes and tariffs, Health care, Social security, education, housing, employment rates (and unemployment figures) and the foreign policies of the Polish government and the influence or lack of influence of the Polish political opposition. I hope that Rzeczpospolita, Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, Puls Biznesu, Parkiet and the online (digital) Merkuriusz Polski Ordynaryjny represent the Polish written press well, and that thy write about real, truthful things and that they are objective and neutral, even though some of them are more conservative and others more liberal. I hope that Polish Radio ( www.thenews.pl/ ) is a good source to, because I visit their site and read their articles a lot. I also hope that there are more blogs, websites and quality news sources of independent Polish journalists, thinkers (Philosophers, theologians, sociologists, columnists, essayists and writers), so that people can also hear different opinions than that of the 'official press' and biased or trained journalists only. Cheers, Pieter
