Polish marchers protest against immigrants
06.02.2016 17:32
Up to 2,000 demonstrators staged a march in central Warsaw on Saturday afternoon to protest at Polish plans to take in refugees from the Middle East and North Africa.

"We will defend our homeland. We won’t let immigrants in,” chanted protesters at the march, whose slogan was "Against the Islamisation of Europe". Many carried Poland's red-and-white national flag.
Close by, several dozen people took part in a counter-demonstration by left-wing and anarchist groups, who said they were determined to stand up to right-wing “racial and religious hatred”.
Opposition MP Robert Winnicki, head of the National Movement, one of the organisers of the anti-immigration march, said: “We are protesting against the Islamisation of Europe, against immigration, against invasion.”
He added: “We are being told that these groups that Poland is to take in are refugees. We say ‘No!’ These people are invaders.”
Last month, Prime Minister Beata Szydło announced that up to 400 refugees would be relocated to Poland in 2016 as part of the previous government’s commitments to the EU to take in 7,000 immigrants over two years.
The Warsaw march organisers said nearly 2,000 protesters took part. Police put the figure at 1,500. Similar anti-immigration protests were held in other European cities.
Polish opposition grouping Kukiz' 15, to which Winnicki is linked, last month started collecting signatures backing a referendum on whether Poland should accept refugees fleeing the war-torn Middle East and North Africa.
Party leader Paweł Kukiz, a veteran rock star, has said that the asylum seekers are “culturally foreign.”
Only four percent of Poles believe their country should take in refugees and allow them to settle here, according to a recent survey. (pk)

Comment Pieter: By the way all over Europe Pegida kind of protest marches against refugees and migrantsd took place. Also in Amsterdam.
You hear anti-fascist demonstrators in the background. Amsterdam is traditionally a leftwing and a little bit of anarchistic city. Resentment against Neo-Nazism, fascism and Geert Wilders is strong there.
JJ European (John) Europe has some serious problems right now. This isn't a quirk of the intellect. This movement is growing and will spill blood.

J.J.
You have presented the clear and present situation that is of this issue that is Europe. You are very fortunant in America as not with this problem.
The people are clearly speaking out their concerns and fears through these actions as perpetrated by as indicated of the group: Pegida, also known of various other names as: Bogida/Kögida/Bärgida {Berlin reverence to the city Bear symble}.
All are representing what is and has been a failure in proper planning and control of large numbers over the simplistic plans for a few.
What is represented by these various groups is the ouster of these refugee people. What is not represented, is a viable plan of action that is both humane and effective. With this as an equal failure upon the part of these protester groups, is provision of protection to innocent people with only their sin as being Arabic by appearance and/or are members of such groups as refugees fleeing from their home lands for their safety. To then return once the conflict has been resolved for then rebuilding to begin.
There are measures that are not only effective but efficient that could be brought into action if not the fear and rightly so, of our leadership that resides in Berlin. This would entail use of measures that were developed in removal by our long past government, of undesirables out of society in temporary detainment for processing and deposition.
The office of Chancellor is well aware of this, but not expected to use as a measure of resolution. For the most part, to escape world condemnation and unpleasant press releases, this fear will prevail over the currant and present unpleasantries we are experiencing.
The primary prerequisite, is the obvious, stabilization of the currant and present situation. Place into action protection measure for the common good, then measures of reconciliation to follow a plan of action.
There are those of course that will feel this is only a local problem, but then, those that would say so, do not live in Europe.

During the demonstration in Amsterdam there were tensions between rightwing and lefting demonstrators. The Dutch police made arrests, mainly anti-fascist counter demonstrators.
Riot police were also needed in Amsterdam today in order to separate the groups. The banner pictured reads: 'Islamists not welcome'
Mounted Dutch riot police disperse demonstrators during the PEGIDA rally in the country's capital Amsterdam (Comment Pieter: It is the question if this man on the ground is a Pegida supporter or a leftwing anti-fascist counter demonstrator)
Members of the Dutch PEGIDA movement march through the city centre during today's demonstration
Plainclothes police officers wrestle a man to the ground during the PEGIDA demonstration held in Amsterdam, Holland, Sunday.
The man was detained during at the far-right demonstration, held in the Amsterdam city centre, protesting what they believe is the 'Islamisation of the West'
A man sticks his tongue out at the camera as he is led away from the demonstration by plainclothes Dutch police officers
Radical leftwing Dutch anti-fascist demonstrators call the Dutch police officers fascists and shout Aletta Aletta Anti-Fascista, and international anti-fascist slogan (also heard in Germany, Italy, Great-Britain and Prague) and they shout 'Nazi'Raus' in German! Undercover Dutch police officers in plain clothes made arrests and the riot police on horses disperched the crowd of leftwing counter demonstrators. The Pegida demonstrators in Amsterdam complained that the Dutch authorities didn't protect them from the leftwing counter demonstrators.
Not back then, not now, never again fascism, Not back then, not now, never again fascism. It is silent on the other side, it is silent on the other side!
Here you see the anti-refugee demonstrators shouting Antifa ha ha ha, and Refgufee center no way, refugee centre no way! Refugees not welcome! Some of these Dutch nationalists also went to Poland to join in the mass demonstration of Polish nationalists in Novemeber. They praised to Poles that they are so nationalist.
Tensions between leftwing and rightwing demonstrators in Amsterdam
Again, Amsterdam is a traditional leftwimg bastion, a city of leftwing liberals, social democrats, socialists, marxists, international socialists, leftwing students and squaters (autonomen) and a lot of foreign anti-fascist leftwing activists live in Amsterdam too (Italians, Spanish people, French people and German and Danish activists from Hamburg, Berlin and Copenhagen. Maybe even Polish, Czech and other anti-fascists') and leftwing to far left immigrants, dissidents from abroad and expats. Marxist Kurds and Turks, leftwing Iranians, Anarchist native Dutch people, Trotskists, Maoists, environmentalists, Feminists, Gay rights activists and leftwing student and youth organisations. Amsterdam is a lion's den for the Dutch and foreign Europen far right. This tolerant, cosmoplitan, multi-ethnic and traditional Labour and leftwing city doesn't accept xenophobia, racism, islamophobia and discrimination.
It is the city of the socialist and communist resistance during the war. The Pegida demonstration took place close to the symbol of anti-fascist and anti-nazi resistance and suffering, the Dock Yard Worker.

Violent Pegida supporters in the Dutch city Urtrecht

The far left anti-fascist demonstrators shout; "Utrecht nazi free!, Utrecht Nazi free!, Utrecht Nazi free!." "Police fascists, state terrorists!; Police fascists, state terrorists!; Police fascists, state terrorists!."
Tensions at a Dutch refugee centre
The tensions all over Europe rise over the refugee crisis. The Netherlands is as polarised as Germany, Belgium, France, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and other places. I am shocked and embarrassed by the bluntness, simple mind mentality and blatant racism, xenophobia, vularity and hatred of some of these compatriots. I am not fond of these far left anti-fascist lunatics either. But understand their motives. Both sides are aggressive, extreme and out of control. They don't respect oponents. Call reasonable people traitors, gays (as a degratory swearword, the most used Dutch swear words unfortunately are Gay 'Homo'and Cancer, in the American sense of the F word. I am not proud of this mob of primitive idiots! Unfortunately these stupid idiots are my compatriots. I respect the concerns, fears and sadness of some people, but this primitive behaviour is untolerable.
Our police officers face many challanges weak afer week. These protests, hooliganism, criminal neighbourhoods, vandalism, violence. A new phenomenon is that groups target police officers, police stations, police vehicles, ambulances and fire fighters.
The shots you hear is live amo which is fired by the Dutch police guns. The police officers felt threatened by the violent mob.
Dutch Feminists protest against Wilders
Wilders racist, no feminist, Wilders racist, no feminist, Wilders racist, no feminist! Refugees welcome, refugees welcome, refugees welcome!
Not in our name, not in our name, not in our name!
