A certain Polish engine driver has become an international hero. Amazing Train Driver Sprints Through Cars to Warn of Inevitable Crash
When a Polish train driver noticed a truck blocking part of the track ahead of his vehicle, he didn’t have time to bring the carriages to a stop before impact. So he used the three seconds he had to sprint through the train, warning passengers of the impact. Within seconds, the train collides with the lorry and a wooden beam impales a carriage window at seat height. Thankfully, nobody was injured and Mr Szymanski said he doesn’t feel like a hero. “I do not feel like a hero, but I'm glad I was able to safely pass by this accident and that nobody nothing,” he told media. The repairs to the train will reportedly cost up to $2,500 The BBC reports that the impact occurred while the train was travelling at 62 mph. It’s thought that nobody was badly injured, which is surely in part down to his warning the passengers in the front section of the train that the impact was about to occur, giving them time to hunker down for protection.
