Nurse strikes and demonstrations

Traditionally, nursing has been treated as vocation. In result, governments and hospital boards have always thought that job satisfaction is enough for nurses to be happy. Why on earth do they fight for more money? Nurses, don`t be such Material Girls like Madonna singer.

But is the issue here just about money? I can't read the signs, so I don't know...

I do know that in other places nurses protest their employers' failure to hire enough nurses, so that the burden on the working nurses is tremendous. Not having enough nurses on a ward can affect adversely the care and recovery of their patients.

Right, it is not only about money but also understaffed wards.
