The article below tells the truth. All my family members, friends and acquaintances who used to go to hot places abroad during summer time decided to spend it in Poland this year. I was really amazed. Poles pick holidays at home amid fears of terrorism: report 30.06.2016 15:06 Almost 2 million more Poles than last year will spend their summer holidays in Poland, largely due to the fear of terrorism abroad, according to the Rzeczpospolita daily. Poles will spend on average 12 percent more than last year on their holidays, but over 75 percent of them will stay in their own country, according to an Ipsos poll quoted by Rzeczpospolita. The paper said the number of Poles heading to Egypt is set to fall by 74 percent and the number picking Turkey for their holidays by 65 percent compared to last year. “Tunisia, which was the fifth most popular holiday destination for Poles, now is not even in the top 20,” Rzeczpospolita said. The paper reported these results are largely connected to the fear of terrorism, but could also be caused by a weakening of the Polish zloty.Where can they stay? The Polish seaside in the north - water can be cool and the weather is unpredictable, but very often there is a hot spell for many days. Mazury Lakes in the north east - a lot of sailing water Mountains in the south, high and low City break tbc

Unfortunately, this is the new reality. But as evidenced by the photos you posted, Poland has plenty of lovely spots to vacation in without having to leave the country.

The only problem is the unpredictable weather. I can relate to that. Here in New England we have a saying, "If you don't like New England weather, wait a minute..."

I was really amazed. Those who used to go to Turkey but stopped must feel relieved now in the context of this failed coup.

Did I mention before that I am concerned about safety at the up-coming World Youth Days?
As far as I am concerned, the above map means nothing. Terrorists will strike anywhere and unexpectedly...that's what makes it terrorism.

You are absolutely right, I should have more faith in this matter; it's one of my failings. It is the God-given free will people possess that worries me! Especially when they choose to use their free will for evil.
