It is very popular in Poland. When the season comes, people rush to open air markets where the freshest beans can be bought.
I like it very much, I eat it raw not to lose vitamins while most people boil it and eat solo or with other stuff.

Some villages where fave beans are staple crops organise fava beans festivals: apart from consumption, there are performances and games. Those events are not sponsored by tourist industry, just local cultural initiatives. Incredible. )
