BTW, I haven`t watched Gilligan`s Island. I only watched a few episodes about the island where people come and live their dreams.. or nightmares... I don`t remember, the host there was such a little Latino man. What is the name of the series? De plane...de plane! (Tattoo) My dear guests, welcome to Fantasy Island! (Mr. Roarke) How scary is it that I know all of this stuff off the top of my head???  Is it a parody of a commercial about an old lady who used a radio phone to call for help? I remember watching it in 1990s. Hehe...yes, I remember that commercial. The lady in the agency asked us if we are able to act like a certain woman who cried out loud: I want meat!!! I want meat!!! (or sth like that) in a commercial. Of course, each of our group said yes. One more commercial to recall When in US in 1990s, I went to a modelling agency to look for a job. I was handsome, I had all my hair on my head, a little moustache under my nose etc etc. In my newly tailored Polish jacket I looked distinguished. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D (guys, I stil have photos from the modelling session). The lady in the agency asked us if we are able to act like a certain woman who cried out loud: I want meat!!! I want meat!!! (or sth like that) in a commercial. Of course, each of our group said yes. Do you remember that commercial? WHERE'S THE BEEF? It was a commercial for Burger King Soooooo, How about posting that picture?  |

Guys/gals...this is so weird...I actually looked up that commercial after I found the fallen/can't get up one. I almost posted it earlier! It's for a fast food restaurant called Wendy's that specializes in burgers. Here it is: The commercial was aired a lot, and it made the lady who uttered the "Where's the beef?" line (I think her name was Clara Peller) famous for a while. ;D |

I don`t know... I realise it is one giant satire at modern society, yet, I can`t take to morons and imbeciles Simpsons are. In the same manner, I have always despised Polish TV comedy series who employed primitive lumpenproletaryat. One of them, I suppose, is called "Świat Kiepskich." I have no idea what the word Doh means and where it came from... |

I was behind the Iron Curtain then, not everything could reach us. Besides, 1988 was the year of mass students strikes and the beginning of the Round Table talks.
