It doesn't exactly fit in with the local architecture!I'm more solidly in the disgust camp rather than the admiration camp on this one.

The "citrus squeezer" part of it isn't even the ugliest part...I don't find the building material or the sharp, harsh outlines attractive. If this church is so important to Poland and its Catholic culture, as stated in the wikipedia link, why on earth did they make it so UGLY? A very wise bishop in our country, Bishop Robert Barron, says that when trying to attract people to God and the Church, "LEAD WITH THE BEAUTY...!" Apparently, someone hadn't heard that advice!!

There are many symbols about the church, unfortunately, they are clear only when explained by an expert. The main motif is that the contemporary design is a modernist variation of the first design from late 18 century by Jakub Kubicki. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jakub_Kubickien.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jakub_Kubicki#/media/File:Hist9.jpg

Two examples of hotels which raise objections of nature lovers. Both are located in deep forest. In both cases corruption is suspected when issuing permission to build. One resembles a castle, located in landscape park. The biggest hotel in Poland

Both are located in deep forest. In both cases corruption is suspected when issuing permission to build. One resembles a castle, located in landscape park. 7 people responsible for the alleged crime of destroying the environment with an illegal castle construction and lying in official documents have been just charged - both the investor and local civil servants. The governor of the voivodship who declared the structure can be continued was dismissed by the Prime Minister. Huge money has been involved, not only in erecting it but also buying people`s closed eyes. Fortunately, prosecutors won`t close an eye. Let it be a warning for all potential destructors in the future.

New bus stop shelters in Gdańsk are to be removed and replaced by better ones. Civil servants who ordered them are to suffer consequences. trojmiasto.wyborcza.pl/trojmiasto/7,35612,27855916,nowe-wiaty-przystankowe-w-gdansku-posmiewiskiem-na-cala-polske.html
