Happy belated Thanksgiving Jeanne! I was in the Mexican province of Yucatan with members of my family during the holiday. We stopped in Miami to celebrate with the Cubans yesterday. Much to be grateful for this season!

Sounds like a lovely holiday in Mexico, and quite a historic happening in Miami yesterday!

It is today! Hope your Thanksgiving is filled with crispy turkey and delicious whisky. Thank you for your good wishes! I did have a lovely holiday...I cooked dinner for my husband, myself, my youngest daughter and her husband, and my 19 month old grandson. We ate an early dinner (around 2:00 pm) so that my grandson would not miss his nap time...and indeed he took a two-hour nap afterwards at my house...something you can never be quite sure will happen. It was a long day, but a nice one. We're all cleaned up now, and it's time to collapse!

Another good year with much to be thankful for! Family and friends, good health, and abundance. I am ever grateful for this small forum of internet friends who tolerate my occasional presence.

Thanks Jeanne. I've always said that I would not want to be a member of any group that would allow me as a member but somehow I give y'all a pass. :}

Yes, family, friends, health, abundance. I always suggest in my prayers that these things shouldn`t be taken away from me, because if they were, it would be really unfair. As for forum tolerance, we are such radical liberals, as Peter says, that we tolerate anything, even occasional presence.

I teach it to my kids that one should be satisfied with the smallest things that life brings to us. Only then we can be really happy.

You are very philosophical this evening...and you are very correct in your philosophizing!
