He is rich, famous and handsome, she is intellgent and pretty, so what`s the deal? oops, I forgot to add, he is already married. But Poles don`t care about his marrital status or affair, it is just a funny topic for discussion, much worse is his betrayal of his opposition mates, and eventually, of the whole cause of anti PiS crusade. Opposition leader: Trip to Portugal was ‘personal’ 04.01.2017 12:04 The leader of Poland's opposition Nowoczesna party, Ryszard Petru, said that a recent trip to Portugal was “personal” in nature, and was paid for out of his own pocket. Petru was photographed on a plane heading to Portugal on 31 December, amid a simmering parliamentary crisis which has seen opposition MPs staging a sit-in protest since 16 December.
The fact that Petru, one of the most vocal members in opposition, decided to leave the country while party colleagues were occupying the parliament’s plenary hall was seen by many commentators as a lack of judgement on his part.
The photograph from the plane showed Petru dressed in casual clothing sitting next to party colleague Joanna Schmidt. It was widely shared on social media and turned into dozens of memes.
On his return to Poland on Tuesday, Petru told the private TVN broadcaster that the trip was "private" in nature, and was paid for neither from the state or party coffers.
Earlier in the week, a number of Nowoczesna MPs stated they did not know where Petru was, seemingly unaware he had left the country. Just hours after claiming she did not know where Petru was, party MP Katarzyna Lubnauer said the trip had been “pre-planned” and was “related to party matters”.
She later said that in the early days of the protest, opposition MPs had drawn up a roster of who would occupy parliament on any given day, and added that “people were free to do anything they liked on their off days”.
According to the Super Express tabloid, Schmidt was recently divorced, and this was not the first foreign trip she took with Petru. What do I suspect? The lady arranged the whole situation with the photo to force her political and not only partner to talk with his wife about divorce. She herself has been divorced since last September, now it is his time, he`s been delaying too long. Look at their body language:

She looks like a nice former colleage of mine, very handsome, pretty and intelligent too. But ofcourse I am decent man and would never violate the 10 commandments. As beautiful as she was I couldn't start an extramarital affair.

Ryszard Petru hasn't got a bad taste. Instead, he has got little brains. Whether it had been framed by his partner or not, it doesn`t matter now. But he should have predicted that someone might recognise them on the plane. Why didn`t he arrange seperate flights? He is probably a beginner in such affairs .... Petru`s relationship reminded me about another Polish politician whose scandalous love affair has continued for about 10 years, till today. Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz was a Prime Minister 12 years ago. He left his wife and 4 children and started an affair with his assistant, 22 years younger. When he stopped being the PM, he left for Britain with is fiancee and they soon got married. Tabloids and glossy magazines were full or articles and the happy couple gave hundreds of interviews etc. In the first half of 2009 he came under heavy criticism because of not keeping up with the moral values he promoted while being engaged in politics. In particular, it was discovered that he was criticizing extra-marital affairs and praising traditional family values, while having an affair himself.[9] In 2015 they divorced (after she had had an accident and become disabled), and she sued him for high alimony. Meeting in court. This year she has published her book in which she reveals all secret facts.

My former colleage who was Bosnian (Yugoslavian secular Muslim) was fond of me and I was fond of her, but I had a Dutch girlfriend back then and she dated a Turkish guy. So that was the problem. My Bosnian colleage looks very similar to Joanna Schmidt. If I had met her earlier I might have had a chance.

In the summer of 2016 I met a young woman who was 20 years younger then me to. I fell in love with her. Dated her a while, but considered her to young for me. But we are still friends and I still see her regulary. The age difference is no problem. Love is a strange thing and age isn't that important. Love does not have aging.

Pieter, I agree that age does not matter...what matters is the love between the two..and love is ageless!

After the affair surfaced, other female members of Nowoczesna party got extremely jealous and threatened the unfaithful leader with leaving if he doesn`t do sth. So he did - his partner lost the position of a deputy chairperson. Party females in Parliament The love affair scandal erupted almost one year ago and eventually ended very sadly for Petru, the party`s creator and leader. He was ousted from the leader`s position by his jealous female colleagues whom he hadn`t taken to Madera on a romantic trip. You can see them in those group photos.

Beware of dominant Polish women. I have experience with one of them. My mother! But if they are good, fair, honest, pragmatic, decent, serving (their constituency and the Polish people in general as politicians), and if they are better than the men they replace there is nothing wrong with it. For instance my mother is a better organiser, is more social, has management skills my dad didn't have and had. My dad was a better in drawing, painting and financial affairs, but chaotic in home affairs (stocks and things like that) and organising (order). Their combination created a perfect match. Cheers, Pieter

He tried to remain a politician, even set up a new party but as no one would believe him, he dissolved it and announced his resignation from politics. hahaha Those women!
