Rutabaga is remembered in Poland as a symbol of German WW occupation. It was cooked and served in thin soup to prisoners of death camps. Today, you can`t buy it in regular shops, probably it is available locally in open air markets. Fortunately, seeds are available so I grow it in my garden. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RutabagaPS. I always thought that Scottish neeps is made from classic turnip, but it is rutabaga, in fact.
