British royal couple William and Kate are expecting their third child, which may have been conceived on their recent trip to Poland, Britain’s The Sun tabloid has reported.
William and Kate visited Poland in mid-July for a high-profile charm offensive that built ties between the two countries.
The news that Kate is pregnant was announced by an official on Monday as she “suffered severe morning sickness, just like in the early stages of her previous two pregnancies,” the Sun said.
According to the paper, morning sickness “begins about six to seven weeks after conception, suggesting the couple did the act after arriving in Warsaw in July.”
The Sun also reported that while in Poland from 17 to 19 July, Kate "hinted at the possibility" of having more kids.
William and Kate's three-day visit included a meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda and a visit to the Warsaw Uprising Museum.
While in Poland, the royal couple also visited the former German Nazi concentration camp of Stutthof and made a trip to the northern port city of Gdańsk, where they spoke to key figures from Poland's Solidarity trade union and communist-resistance movement.
Krzysztof Szczerski, a top aide to President Duda, said the royal trip to Poland was “a visit of friendship and respect, a visit which focuses on good social relations between Poland and Great Britain.” (gs/pk)
